Real-Time Vehicle Tracking

Quadrant uses satellite positioning and cellular communications so can see in real time where all your vehicles are and communicate easily with drivers. Automated vehicle location (AVL) uses the Webtech Wireless patented Locator device to exchange vehicle information with your office.

At the office, you, your drivers, dispatchers and other staff can view landmarks and geofences using Google map integration and any standard web browser.

You can use real-time vehicle tracking in many ways:

  • Assure customers with the exact time a delivery or service truck will arrive
  • Find the nearest vehicle to a desired location and dispatch it there
  • Check vehicle usage (idling, stops/starts, out of perimeters, non authorized usage, etc)
  • Check vehicle condition (CO₂ emissions, light and heavy-duty truck engine diagnostics)
  • Know how long vehicles are waiting in loading bays (for billing purposes)

Webtech Wireless Quadrant Locators were one of the first GPS/GPRS location and telematics devices on the market, and we continue to lead the way, with over 250,000 units installed around the world. With so many devices in the field, we can boast of a solid track record of accuracy and reliability.

How much could you save?

Quadrant helps reduce fuel consumption by monitoring key performance indicators, such as distances driven, fuel consumption, fuel economy, CO2 emissions, idling, speeding, harsh braking, sharp acceleration and engine over-revving.

“Typical combination trucks consume about 0.8 gallons of diesel fuel during each hour of idling, using between 900 and 1,400 gallons of fuel each year per truck.”
—US Environmental Protection Agency

What are your drivers doing?

Using onboard vehicle diagnostics and GPS data, you can detect poor driving practices (such as speeding), and receive automatic schedules and alerts (for issues such as upcoming brake inspections and engine oil changes).

“In one study, jackrabbit starts reduced travel time by only 4%, but increased total fuel consumed by 37%.” —Natural Resources Canada
