Real Time Operations

Since 1999, InterFleet has been averaging ten second updates from our locators and we can provide up to second by second reporting. This rate of reporting is critical to real-time fleet operations. Unique to InterFleet, our application also separates the map layer and vehicle layer providinglive screen map displays of your entire fleet. We automatically refresh updated status changes every three seconds.

Supervisors can look at a map and know in real time where each vehicle is and what the vehicle is doing. In many situations, especially during events such as snow storms, this level of real-time feedback is necessary to respond to changes in events from minute to minute.

If constituents call in to ask about vehicles, real time reporting provides the detail that let’s call center operators provide the correct answers. InterFleet takes it even further by allowing the public to see vehicles in real time on a web portal map. This both reduces call center volumes and allows the public to have confidence that you are responding to events as they happen.

InterFleet’s ten second reporting enhances the ability for call centers to dispatch vehicles in real time, responding immediately to constituents needs. For example, natural events such as trees down on the road, power lines down in a wind storm creating safety hazards, or water main breaks flooding roads. In each case, call center operators can respond immediately to the appropriate department, making sure that the safety of citizens is a priority.
